And so begins our week with the reptiles! A welcome change after the noisy birds…
First things first; we started work this morning with HuomentaMoi-Guy. Then he shoved us with the Skeletor; at least he spoke English better than HuomentaMoi-Guy ( “only small English” )…
We started with transferring some turtles to a new habitat under some birds and we covered them with some hay ( for some unknown reason ). Then we went to gather some grass and stuff for the vegetarian reptiles and distributed them around the zoo.
We discovered a new place; Skeletor called it “Reptile nursery”. There were lots of different baby reptiles ( little turtles and caimans etc. ). One of us got to hold a baby Boa snake ( unbelievably adorable ).
After the distribution of the grass and stuff, we watered the reptiles in the Green Pyramid ( which has nothing to do with a pyramid, by the way ). The Green Pyramid has kind of a rainforest climate inside, it holds reptiles, birds, squirrels, rats, ocean life etc. It also has a large variety of different plants.

After lunch we cleaned windows both outdoors and in… There were so many windows! Turtle enclosure outdoors (both inside and out)and indoors the Anaconda terrarium, the Boa terrarium, the Crocodile cage, the turtles enclosures ( two of them ) and two lizard terrariums. But we didn’t get to go inside the Anaconda terrarium ;(

When we finally got all the windows done, we returned to the Green pyramid to write down the temperatures of different reptile terrariums and watch the vet assistant treat a sick lizard ( we’ll have to check what it was later on ).
At the end of the workday, we got some hot chocolate ( yummy! ) from the coffee machine and took some pics at the Green Pyramid.
